EULAR has launched the Edgar Stene Prize Competition 2018
Every year the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) runs an essay writing competition. This year the subject is:
My personal champion – supporting my everyday life with a rheumatic disease
You are invited to write about your personal experiences of living life with AS. EULAR would like to hear who your personal champion in your life is and why. It can be a family member, spouse, a friend or also your doctor or someone else of your health care team.
It might also be your dog, horse or cat, which gives you comfort and support. EULAR want to celebrate all those who are around us every day and thank them for the unconditional love and support which often goes unnoticed.
To enter you need to be at least 18 years old and your submission should be no longer than two A4 pages. We would need to receive your entry no later than Friday 15 December 2017. All entries will be passed on to ARMA and a national jury will choose the UK entry.
A EULAR Jury will select the 2018 Stene Prize winner from all the national entries with the winning entry to be announced by 15 March 2018.
The Stene Prize winner will be invited to attend the Opening Plenary Session of the EULAR Congress in Amsterdam and will be awarded a prize of €1000. EULAR provides the winner with travel to Amsterdam and hotel accommodation for up to 4 nights as well as an invitation to the EULAR Congress Dinner.
The second placed essay will be awarded €700 and the third placed essay will receive €300.
