Volunteers make an enormous difference to the work of NASS:
volunteers run the local branches which provide regular exercise sessions and a source of support- all our trustees are volunteers
- volunteers help out with administrative tasks in the NASS office.
There are different kinds of volunteering: below are just some of the ways in which you can help.
Focus Groups: participating in group discussions to share ideas on specific topics to determine the direction of the work of NASS.
Office Administration: helping out with administrative tasks in the NASS office.
Raising Awareness: manning a stand at patient information days, disease awareness events or running a stall at a local event.
Research: participating in discussion groups on existing treatments or the priorities for future research.
Speaking Out: attending meetings at local or national level, being interviewed for NASS publications and resources or external media activity.
Your level of involvement is entirely your own choice - whether you have a few days to spare or only a few hours per month. It would be helpful if you have access to an email address for ease of contact and to help keep our costs down.
For information about our current volunteering opportunities please get in touch with the office on 020 8948 9117 or by email.
