Fergus was the Director of NASS for over 25 years and a commanding figure in the world of AS both through his work for NASS and for ASIF, the international patient organisation. He did a huge amount to raise the profile of AS and to highlight the needs of AS patients: he himself had the disease.

This fund has been set up by his widow Brigitte: it is not a separate charity but donations to it are listed separately in the NASS accounts. The intention is that the funds raised are used to help individual patients and research. The Fund stands at over £11,000. To donate, simply make your payment to the Fergus Rogers Memorial Fund (NASS) and send it in to NASS.
